July: #AWKickstart

We’re dedicating the month of July to kickstarting flexible working across the UK. Find out how you can get involved.

Recently Labour peer and Birkbeck University president Lady Bakewell urged British firms to kickstart the economy through flexible working and last week the Women’s Business Council found that flexible working could boost UK growth.

We’d like to support people and organisations to kickstart flexible working –particularly those that don’t already have a plan or policy in place. With that in mind, we’re dedicating the month of July to the ‘Kickstart’ theme.

During July, you can expect handy resources to help you kickstart flexible working, guest blog posts from business leaders with tips and advice that you can take back to your company, and of course, lots of fun. Each week will be dedicated to a theme:

  • W/C 1 July: Kickstart for students
  • W/C 8 July: Kickstart for start-ups
  • W/C 15 July: Kickstart for parents
  • W/C 22 July: Kickstart for changing the corporate way

We’ll have more detail on each of those weeks coming soon, so watch this space!

Kickstart Manchester

We’ve even more exciting news! On Thursday 11th July, the Anywhere Working team will be visiting Manchester to meet the flexible working community. Find out more about the event here and sign up now to get your free tickets.

We have lots of exciting ideas in the pipeline and we’d love to involve our community, so if you have anything interesting to share with us under the theme of ‘Kickstart’ please get in touch. We’re talking guest blog post ideas, videos, speeches or workshop ideas (for the event) – contact: [email protected]
