What makes a great tweet-up? If it’s loads of like-minded people getting together to share ideas with tasty food and drink to hand, our opening Anywhere Working tweet-ups were a rip-roaring success.
The Anywhere Working community formed just four months ago, so it was exciting and inspiring to see so many people come together to champion flexible working. Among the many, we loved getting to know Sarah Lamb from Girly Geekdom, Timothy and Jenny from Future Workshops, and The Daily Mum’s Karen Hodkinson, who brought four-week-old daughter Bessie along – talk about a flexible lifestyle! Big thanks too to Eve from Wellbeing at Work, Tom Ball from Near Desk and Kirsten and Alex from HerUni for taking part.
With the remote worker in mind, we gave away plenty of prizes throughout the evenings, including Starbucks vouchers, Barclays Cycle Hire vouchers, Panasonic headphones and subscriptions to National Geographic and Grand Designs.
We’re aiming to hold even more tweet-ups around the UK as our community grows. Interested in helping us to get the word out? We’d love to hear from you.
Dear Anywhere Working team, it was such a lovely evening. Thank you for organizing. Even the prize I won (the subscriptions) is amazing! Definitely look forward to meeting you soon again. All the best, Dita
