I resolve to ride my bicycle.
As commuters, we have to deal with buses, trains and tubes on a daily basis. From sitting next to someone with a stinking cold, to listening to someone else’s loud dance music, there are days where we all end up having not so lovely thoughts about the people around us.
It’s time to skip the throngs of people, get fit and save the planet at the same time.
All this can be achieved from the saddle of a humble bicycle, so why not bump this to the top of your new year’s resolution list. Not only does cycling to work offer a wealth of health benefits but it’s the perfect way to gear up for the day, and has the added bonus of flushing out any work demons before dinner time.
But I cannot afford a bicycle, I hear you say…
Did you know you can buy a tax free bike through the Government’s Green Transport Initiative? That’s another tempting reason to saddle up.
So, what’s stopping you? The idea of a winter chill on your cheeks when the moon’s still glowing at 7am? We understand that. Take a read of this great post from CycleSheme, to help ensure you’re left with no more excuses. Then take to the roads…!
